You can use an ADSL modem that you already own and join now.
For
most people, our Self-Install Kits make getting online quick and easy. They
include high quality modems and step-by-step instructions - perfect whether you
join BigPond online at your home or office or in-store.
If you already have Telstra selected as your
local and long distance telephone carrier, then you're eligible for our full
service fixed phone plans. Customers who do not meet this requirement at any
time will be automatically migrated to the equivalent non-full service fixed
phone plan. To check your current full service fixed phone status, or to select
Telstra as your full service fixed phone carrier now, event@dts.net.au
During the term of the contract, you can choose
(and move between) any of the following monthly plans. All plans offer up to 7
additional users for $1 per user per month (prices incl. GST).

to start your BigPond Broadband experience
With BigPond Broadband ADSL, you have the option
of choosing our Home Wi-Fi Self Install Kit or you can have it Professionally
Installed by a Telstra Technician while being able to access the web without
wires, around your home.
The BigPond Broadband ADSL with Home Wi-Fi modem
connects to your phone line and the BigPond Broadband ADSL network from your
home phone line. But when you connect your computer (or computers), wires are
entirely optional. It means you can access the Internet from a comfortable
position at home, any time you want.
The BigPond Broadband ADSL with Home Wi-Fi Self
Install Kit is available and from DTS and selected Telstra shops
The installation costs for BigPond Broadband
with Home Wi-Fi are higher than standard ADSL and Cable - due to the more
sophisticated embedded software and technology in the wireless kit, as well as
the higher cost of the modem itself.

Customers choosing to bring their own (BYO)
modem will pay $99 on a 12 month contract. They must use a Telstra-approved

If customers decide to change their installation method at any time, standard
fees will apply (see above).
Customers who have already purchased a BigPond
Broadband Kit from an approved Telstra Retailer will pay $60 installation on a
12-month contract (this applies to both the 1 port and wireless modems.)

If you choose our self-install option but then
find you need a technician to call and assist, you may be charged an extra $189
for the service call.
If you decide to cancel your Self Installation
Kit prior to actually installing it, the Kit must be returned to Telstra
intact. Failure to return an intact kit will result in a $462 replacement cost.
Replacement consumable items (cables, etc) are
available for your Self Installation Kit. These will incur a separate charge
plus a postage and handling fee.
Please note, Mac is not supported for
self-installation.

1. Monthly Plan
Allowance (MB and GB) means combined upload and download data transfer
(except for some traffic provided from time to time by BigPond at no cost). For
the purposes of calculating usage, 1 Gigabyte = 1000 Megabytes. Unused usage
forfeited.
2. Speeds are presented in
downstream/upstream format eg: 256/64 represents 256kbps downstream/ 64 kbps
upstream. These speeds are the theoretical maximum speed achievable on a plan
at any given time and are not guaranteed (i.e. customers may not achieve speeds
of up to 256kbps). Speeds may vary from time to time depending on plan selected,
internet traffic, server capacity and other factors.

for Full Service Fixed Phone Plans over 12 months with HomeLineTM
Plus with self install 1 port modem on 400MB ADSL 512/128kbps is $1027.80,
500MB ADSL 1500/256 kbps plan is $1387.80, Unlimited* ADSL 512/128kbps is
$1387.80, Unlimited* ADSL 1500/256 kbps is $1747.80 and 20GB ADSL 1500/256 kbps
plan is $2107.80. Additional usage charges and early termination charges may
apply.
Minimum package cost for Non Full Service Fixed Phone Plans over 12 months with
self install 1 port modem on 200MB ADSL 256/64 kbps plan is $548.40, 400MB ADSL
512/128kbps is $788.40, 500MB ADSL 1500/256 kbps plan is $1148.40, Unlimited*
ADSL 256/64 kbps plan is $908.40, Unlimited* ADSL 512/128 kbps is $1148.40,
Unlimited* ADSL 1500/256 kbps is $1508.40 and 20GB ADSL 1500/256 kbps plan is
$1868.40. Additional usage charges and early termination charges may apply.
4. Online Games: This plan is not
suitable for PlayStation® Network Gaming or Xbox Live. BigPond recommend a
download/upload speed of at least 512/128kbps for optimal online game play on
PlayStation® Network Gaming or Xbox Live.
5. You must have an
active BigPond ADSL service to be able to subscribe to the BigPond Static IP.
ADSL is not available in all areas.
6. 20MB Mailbox Quota: BigPond Broadband
customers have a limit of 20MB email storage space per mailbox.
