Monthly Plans and Prices

During the term of the contract, you can choose (and move between) any of the following monthly plans¹. All plans offer up to 7 additional users for $1 per user per month (prices incl. GST):

Cable Modem Installation and Charges

Customers are entitled to an installation fee of $189 for a three month contract if:
a) they possess a cable modem from their previous BigPond Broadband cable service or;
b) they have otherwise legally procured a BigPond Broadband cable modem in good working order from an ex BigPond Broadband customer.

Special services and installation charges

Self-Installation fees

If you choose our self-install option but then find you need a technician to call and assist, you may be charged an extra $189 for the service visit.

If you decide to cancel your Self Install Kit prior to actually installing it, the Kit must be returned to BigPond intact. Failure to return an intact kit will result in a $350 replacement cost.

Replacement consumable items (cables, etc) are available for your Self Install Kit. These will incur a separate charge plus a postage and handling fee.

Please note, Mac is not supported for self-installation.

Things you should know

1. You may qualify for a Reward Options package.

2. Monthly Plan Usage Allowance (MB and GB) means combined upload and download data transfer (except for some traffic provided from time to time by BigPond at no cost). For the purposes of calculating usage, 1 Gigabyte = 1000 Megabytes. Unused usage allowance forfeited.

3. Speeds are presented in downstream/upstream format eg. uncapped/128 represents uncapped downstream and capped up to 128k upstream. This is a maximum speed achievable only. Speeds vary according to plan selected, internet traffic, server capacity and other factors.

4. Minimum package cost on a 12 month plan with professional installation for 200 MB Cable plan is $618.40, 500MB Cable plan is $858.40 and Unlimited* Cable plan is $978.40. Additional usage charges and early termination fees may apply.
